I heard through the grapevine that it will move forward. It looks like the King of Ethiopia will be coming back!!
As I know very little other then that, I'll leave it there.
It was a memorable experience working with an amazing cast of talented people. This was the second time in my life having worked with Austin. The first time was in a production called Order, produced by Oberon Theatre Ensemble in which Austin directed me. This time I had the distinct honor to work opposite him as a scene partner. To work with this true veteran was an incredibly validating experience for me and one that I'll not soon forget. After the three producer performances, he gave me the best compliment EVER, I feel so honored.
Here is an image taken after the run with one of my besties Perri Yaniv who portrayed the King of Babylonia.
About two months ago, David Stallings called me in as a reader for a new work written by John Patrick Shanley. It was a project with Planet Connections; Playwrights For A Cause (great group of people by the bye). I knew very little about the group, but am impressed by what I've learned and have been privy to.
This weekend is the Fundraising performances against gun violence. There'll be five very different, yet very entertaining one acts performed. The piece that I'l be performing in is called "Double Cross", written by Shanley and co-starring Lynn Cohen and Ed Jewett. Other playwrights include; Isreal Horovitz, Penny Jackson, Dominique Morrisseau, and Regina Taylor. I was slow on the draw with this one, as ALL seats have been sold out. But, for prosperity's sake, here is the poster.
